Here are a few things to help you along the way: Use the Data Visualization guide to help you pick good chart types. Make your visualization clear and easy to read. In some instances, a simple table may be a better way to show your data than a chart. Use text along with your visual to help explain your data story. Step 4: Written responses Respond to the written responses below. Note that a recommended word count is provided for each question. Describe how you collected the data for your visualization including how it was collected, when it was collected, and over what period of time.

How is it shown with your visualization? Come up with a possible story or explanation for the trend you described. Make sure to note any assumptions you are making in this interpretation of the data. The people completing the survey were aged , teenagers, growing up in the age of media accessible at their fingertips through phones and iPads, and on television screens and computers in front of them. Make a recommendation based on the results of your analysis. Describe who you are making the recommendation to and what should they do. Explain how the recommendation will lead to some benefit or prevent some harmful effect. Explain how your recommendation is supported by your analysis of the data, or what else might need to be investigated in order to make a stronger recommendation. Television, movies and YouTube could be recreated by going to see a musical theater performance, video games could be similar to playing a board, card or outdoor game, listening to music can be done without head phones at a concert and going on the Internet is quite similar to reading or chatting with friends. However, these connections are only drawn by hypothesis, and further investigation would need to be done in order to justify that these alternatives really do provide the same level of happiness.

Pre-work: set up your study environment Before we begin, take some time to get organized. Make sure you have a designated place at home to study. Somewhere you can keep all of your materials, where you can focus on learning, and where you are comfortable. Spend some time prepping the space with everything you need and you can even let others in the family know that this is your study space. Get your notebook, textbook, prep books, or whatever other physical materials you have. Also create a space for you to keep track of review. Start a new section in your notebook to take notes or start a Google Doc to keep track of your notes. Get yourself set up! The hardest part about studying from home is sticking to a routine. Decide on one hour every day that you can dedicate to studying. This can be any time of the day, whatever works best for you.
